Jeff Knuese

I graduated from the University of Whitewater in 1987. I began looking for a career is business and tried several different jobs until I found a good fit in the insurance business. I studied under a captive situation working for a great company. I noticed quickly that the competition was stiff. I wanted to broker and sell for many great companies. I found the perfect situation in 1998 to go on my own and do just that. Since the inception of my career in the business I built a philosophy of coverage first, premium second. I knew that with the ability of selling for so many different companies that I could make that philosophy a reality. It is a goal that I strive for with every client.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife, my son and my friends and family. I enjoy working out, playing golf, coaching grade school basketball and fishing.  I have been fortunate to build many great relationships inside and outside of work.

Ryan Wedell

Welcome to our site! My name is Ryan Wedell a license independent insurance agent for almost 15 years. I’m dedicated to my clients and enjoy educating them on various coverage options available. I graduated from UW-La Crosse in 2005 with a finance degree. While in college I was an intern for a local insurance agency and have been in the insurance profession ever since. I’m thankful to be able to help people protect what is most important to them. My specialties are auto, home, life and business insurance. Customers can rely on me to be their point of contact and advocate to assist with claims, policy questions, changes and coverage recommendations. I care that my clients are insured properly with competitive rates and well informed. I work with a lot of first time home buyers who are looking to design an insurance policy for their new home. Typically packaging the new home with their auto insurance to maximize savings and coverage.

Outside from work I enjoy spending time with family and friends camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and traveling. Thank you for visiting!

Dan Degner

I was a teacher for 20 years and a high school basketball coach. I got into insurance about 17 years ago selling just health insurance. This led me to KNI Insurance where I expanded my business to include property and casualty. I am married to Linda and have a blended family of 6 adult children. My hobbies include coaching basketball and gardening! I love working with KNI Insurance because we use a team approach to selling and providing insurance. It makes coming to work a lot of fun! I also like working for KNI because of the ethical approach we have in providing insurance. We make sure we provide the best coverage for the price.


Francis “Buzz” Orval

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1973 with a BA in History. I was awarded an athletic scholarship to play Basketball. I was commissioned as a second lieutenant upon graduation and served as an infantry officer for 8 years, 4 of which were in the Federal Republic of Germany. I commanded an infantry company in Europe during the cold war in an armor battalion at Fort Benning, Georgia. Being named a distinguished graduate of the infantry Officer Advanced Course, I was asked to remain in Fort Benning and to serve as a member of the faculty at the United States Infantry School. In addition to teaching students, my duties included briefing congressmen and senators on the latest advancements in modern warfare.

I returned to civilian life in 1981 and decided to start a career in insurance. After learning enough about the industry, I started my own business and operated the agency for 31 years, specializing in automobile, home, business and life insurance. in 2016 I decided to sell the agency to Jeff Knuese, a friend and fellow agency owner.I have remained as a part-time employee of KNI Insurance. My hobbies include golf and cheering on the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and UWM Panthers as well as the Wisconsin Badgers. I am proud to say that in 31 years of being a loyal Badger fan, I have only missed 4 home games.

Morgan Knuese

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2018 where I studied Corporate Health and Communications. During my 4 years at UW Whitewater, I played on the women’s club soccer team and was Vice President of SHAC (Student Health Advisory Committee) that was designed to improve heath and wellness of the Whitewater Community

In May 2017, I was offered a position at KNI Insurance & Finances as an intern. As an intern at KNI, I learned the operations and procedures of the insurance business and shortly realized that insurance was the field for me. I went on pursuing my insurance license and became a full-time Insurance agent at KNI. I have always had a passion for helping people and felt like insurance was the perfect field to help my clients at their most joyful and difficult times.

My hobbies include, running and participating in various 5k, 10k and Marathons throughout Wisconsin. I stay active by hiking, playing soccer, basketball, golf and enjoy Traveling and seeing different places around the world. I also enjoy spending time with my family, friends and of course cheering on the Green Bay Packers!

Richard (Rich) O’Malley

I started in the Insurance business in February 1976 with John Hancock Insurance as a Life Insurance agent. In December 1977 I was promoted to assistant manager in Chicago with John Hancock. in May 1979 I transferred back to Milwaukee as a staff Manager. in 1986 I was referred to Couri Insurance and became an early member of the CPL Couri Insurance group founding O’Malley Insurance Services, Inc. In 2010, after 24 years I sold my agency to KNI Insurance and have stayed on with KNI as a Customer Service and Sales Agent.
